Lack of health insurance limits access, affects health

People without health insurance for more than a year are three times more likely to lack a regular source of healthcare, according to a study released by the Urban Institute, an economic and social policy research group. The study found that those in fair or poor health were more likely to be uninsured for longer periods of time than those in good or excellent health. Researchers surveyed 13 states-Texas had the highest rate of uninsured residents (31%), and Massachusetts had the lowest rate (11.2%)
