New Web site compares drug prices for Medicare beneficiaries

As people begin to enroll in the new drug discount card program this week, they can compare prices on the recently launched Medicare drug discount Web site. The agency posted industry drug prices for more than 60,000 drug products found at almost 50,000 pharmacies. To compare drug prices beneficiaries can visit the site at www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE. Beneficiaries can choose which discount card offers the most savings on the prescriptions they need.
