Health and Human Services (HHS) announced funding to 10 states for additional Aging and Disability Resource Centers. The centers will provide "one stop shopping" for seniors and people with disabilities to learn about long-term healthcare options.
At the centers, seniors, people with disabilities, and their families can learn about a variety of long-term choices including in-home services and nursing homes in their area. So far, 23 states and one territory have received grants to develop Aging and Disability Resource Centers, which HHS hopes will ultimately reduce the confusion when choosing long term health services.
