Are you looking for innovative ways to enhance the training options available at your facility? The U.S. Department of Labor recently launched Workforce Connections, a set of Web-based tools that allow non-technical individuals to create, acquire, share and control knowledge in real-time. According to the Department of Labor, Workforce Connections is the first tool of its kind to be licensed by the U.S. government free of charge to public- and private-sector organizations. The site shows examples of agencies currently using Workforce Connections to meet their technology needs. For example, the Employment and Training Administration has an online coaching site that answers career questions, called the "Career One Stop Coach." These new tools are a great way to provide an interactive online knowledge exchange environment that fosters education and professional development among your staff and throughout your facility.
