Local Chapter Update: Networking events fill up the December calendar
Case Management Insider, December 10, 2015
November was a busy month for local chapter leaders, with meetings in Manhattan, Long Island, Kansas City, Indiana, Central Pennsylvania, Florida, and Virginia. December opened with a Massachusetts ACDIS Chapter meeting on December 2 and well-attended event in South Carolina on December 4.
The rest of December has its share of CDI networking events, too. On Friday, December 11, the Georgia ACDIS Chapter meets from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Lanier Tech in Cumming. The event features breakfast sponsored by the chapter and lunch sponsored by M*Modal and presentations regarding ICD-10-CM/PCS documentation opportunities and hiring and training new staff. The leadership also organized a gift-swap and will be collecting donations of toys the chapter will drop off to charity. For information, contact Julie Bell at jbell@hhcs.org.
Also on Friday, the Maryland ACDIS Chapter holds its annual pot luck celebration from 12:30-3 p.m., at the Maryland Hospital Association in Elkridge. The group will be discussing its chapter survey results, planning upcoming educational sessions, discussing poster presentations for the national ACDIS conference and collecting donations for Toys for Tots. For information, contact Olga Firstbrook ofirstbrook@cua.md.
