Incentives can help motivate your department

Looking for ways to inspire your case managers and encourage them to meet goals? Give them a reason to put in that extra effort with an incentive program, says June Stark, RN, BSN, MEd, senior director of care coordination at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center-Steward Healthcare in Boston.
Even the addition of small prizes, such as gift cards to a local coffee shop or donated tickets to a sporting event can help spur on progress.
