Case Management Insider, April 7, 2015
Medicare recently announced the creation of a new accountable care payment model, which asks providers to take on more risks for the opportunity of more rewards, according to HealthLeaders Media.
The Next Generation Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Model seeks to set “predictable financial targets, enables greater levels of financial risk so that providers have more opportunities to coordinate beneficiaries’ care, and maintains the highest of quality standards consistent with other Medicare programs and models,” according to a Medicare Fact Sheet.
