The following are the highlights from the 2011 Case Management Monthly Salary Survey. We received more than 700 responses from RN case managers (51%), case management directors (23%), case management managers/supervisors (16%), and social work (SW) case managers from all over the country. The overwhelming majority (96%) of respondents are women.
This month's article is the first in a series of three articles that will examine specific portions of the results. This article focuses on pay raises and reductions, overtime compensation, and other benefits.
More than half of respondents (70%) indicated that they have received a raise in the past 12 months.
That number is an 8% increase from 2010's results, which suggests the struggling economy may be on the mend. The percentage of respondents who received pay raises is relatively consistent across the positions polled.
