CMS’ Medicare Learning Network® has released the first in a series of podcasts designed to teach providers how to avoid common billing errors.
The first podcast, “Recovery Audit Program (RAP) Demonstration High-Risk Medical Necessity Vulnerabilities for Inpatient Hospitals,” is based on the special edition MLN Matters Article SE1027. The eight-minute podcast discusses some of the findings detailed in SE1027 and explains the documentation CMS requires to justify an inpatient admission.
Access the podcast at http://www.CMS.gov/MLNProducts/MLM/list.asp. Select “Provider Compliance” from the list of topics.
