CMS has scheduled a March 21 Open Door Forum (ODF) that will focus on the hospital-acquired condition (HAC) measures adopted for the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program (Reporting Program). The 60-minute teleconference will:
- Provide background and an overview of HAC measures and their adoption for the reporting program
- Describe the methodology used to calculate HAC measures
- Share national results for HAC measures
- Discuss how hospitals can use their hospital-specific reports (HSRs)
- Answer hospitals' questions about the methodology used to calculate the HAC measures and the HAC measure HSRs.
The March 21 call will not address the adoption of HAC measures under the Hospital Value-Based Purchasing program or under Section 3008 of the Affordable Care Act.
If you wish to participate, dial 800/837-1935, Conference ID 51372132. You also may listen to the call via the Internet at www.ustream.tv/channel/cms-public-events.
More information about this program and other ODFs is available at www.cms.gov/OpenDoorForums/18_ODF_Hospitals.asp.
