This month, CMS will be sending the fourth annual Medicare Contractor Provider Satisfaction Survey to more than 30,000 providers who serve Medicare beneficiaries across the country.
The survey will measure all Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) against performance targets outlined in their contracts. MACs are Medicare contractors that perform a variety of duties such as answering provider questions and processing claims.
All providers selected to participate in the survey are strongly encouraged to do so. Surveys can be completed on the internet, by fax, phone, or mail. CMS says the survey helps it understand and improve contractor performance.
