If you are not taking advantage of the expertise your physician advisor (PA) can offer to your case management team, you may be missing opportunities to improve communication and education within your facility.
The PA is a complex role: part physician, part case management advocate, part family advisor, and part staff educator. Because this role is so complex, it can sometimes be difficult to know how to use a PA to the best advantage of your case management team.
