Medicare beneficiaries can now compare 2009 Medicare drug plans, hospitals, and health plans on the updated Medicare Web site.
By visiting www.medicare.gov, beneficiaries can learn how to lower drug costs when they hit a coverage gap, understand the Medicare premiums and coinsurance rates for 2009, find suppliers of medical equipment and more.
Beneficiaries without Web access can call 1-800-MEDICARE to obtain this information. Open enrollment for Medicare begins on November 15.
