Joint Commission announces new disease-specific care certification program
Accreditation Connection, November 2, 2007
The Joint Commission is now accepting applications for its new certification program in disease-specific care for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease management.
The program was developed with the American Lung Association, and the program focuses on a number of areas, including
- a standard method of delivering care
- evidence-based clinical practice guidelines
- a timely system for sharing information
- a comprehensive performance improvement program
