CMS accepting comments on FI performance standards

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced this week in the Federal Register that it is seeking comments on its fiscal intermediary (FI) standards. Fiscal intermediaries process claims for payment from CMS and decide whether hospital services are covered.
CMS is accepting comments through November 30, 2007.
