No more ties for doctors in England

Hospitals in the United Kingdom, in an effort to combat the spread of hospital-born infections, have instituted a ban on neckties, as well as long sleeves and jewelry, according to the Associated Press. The intent of the rule is to prevent the spread of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which accounts for more than 40% of blood infections in the Great Britain.
