Joint Commission requests feedback on MM and HR standards

The Joint Commission (formerly known as JCAHO) is currently seeking feedback on proposed revisions to both its current Medical Management (MM) and Management of Human Resources (HR) standards.
Proposed revisions to MM standards include:
- Medication management
- Pharmacy
- Performance improvement related to medication management
- Environment of care
Proposed revisions to HR standards include:
- Human resources
- Infection control
- Credentialing and privileging for ambulatory healthcare
- Information management
The public can comment on the proposed revisions for the next six weeks. The revised chapters can be accessed and commented on here.
