No charges for doctor accused in Katrina deaths

A grand jury has declined to indict Anna Pou, MD, a surgeon accused of killing four patients in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, according to CNN.com.
Pou and two nurses were arrested after an investigation of the events that took place at Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans in 2005 showed the four patients were given a lethal combination of morphine and midazolam hydrochloride.The four patients ranged in age from 61 to 90. At least 34 people died at Memorial while waiting to be evacuated from the hospital.
