The Joint Commission announces 2008 National Patient Safety Goals for different settings

On July 2, The Joint Commission released its 2008 National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) for long-term care organizations, home care programs, disease-specific certification programs, behavioral healthcare organizations, and ambulatory care and office-based surgery facilities. This announcement comes one week after The Joint Commission released its 2008 NPSGs for hospitals and critical access hospitals.
