D.C.-area hospital accreditation status drops to "provisional"

The Joint Commission has lowered Greater Southeast Community Hospital's accreditation status to provisional after the Washington, D.C. hospital failed to submit its annual review, according to the Washington Post.

Hospital administrators gave the D.C. Health Department a plan to correct its staffing, supplies, and equipment deficiencies. The chief executive of the 110-bed facility said the missed deadline was an oversight.
