Washington senator personally checks hospital after JC inspectors found immediate dangers

After a regular Joint Commission inspection found psychiatric ward patients of a Seattle-area Veterans Affairs hospital in immediate risk, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) has decided to personally check the hospital's conditions, according to Oregonlive.com.
Hospital officials say that after the inspection, they have since remedied many of the problems, including window blinds and glass picture frames found in patient rooms.
Still, Murray remained skeptical after the hospital's initial reluctance to give her a copy of the inspection report. She is flying home to personally review the hospital's conditions, she said.
