Joint Commission Resources asks for test hospitals
Accreditation Connection, June 11, 2007
Joint Commission Resources (JCR), an affiliate of The Joint Commission, is looking for volunteer organizations to pilot a staff communication training program. JCR received a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop this training series.
The intent of this beta-site program involves training one person at each facility who can then train other members of the staff in communication techniques.
The program will be free to hospitals in the fall of 2008. Any hospital who participates will receive all of the training materials necessary to foster better communication among staff and how that relates to patient safety.
