Joint Commission seeks feedback on infection control standard

The Joint Commission has posted its proposed revisions to the Surveillance, Prevention, and Control of Infection chapters for the ambulatory, critical access hospital, home care, hospital, and office-based surgery programs.
The agency is now seeking feedback from organizations, associations, and individuals until June 13.

The updates to the behavioral healthcare programs and long-term care programs will begin in 2008, according to The Joint Commission's Web site.
