JCAHO changes name to The Joint Commission
Accreditation Connection, January 15, 2007
As part of a new branding strategy, the JCAHO has officially changed its name to simply, The Joint Commission. A statement about the change may be viewed on the accreditor's Web site.
Similar modifications also were made to the Web sites for The Joint Commission's consulting company, Joint Commission Resources Inc. (JCR), its Joint Commission International division, and its International Center for Patient Safety, all of which may be accessed via The Joint Commission's homepage. Additionally, the Jayco extranet site is now called The Joint Commission Connect.
More information about the change will appear in the February issue of Briefings on JCAHO.
