IOM publishes three reports on emergency care

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) announced this month that it has published three reports from a study that addressed the full range of emergency care services, including 9-1-1 and medical dispatch, prehospital EMS (including ground and air medical services), and hospital-based emergency and trauma care for adults and children.

The reports touch three key focus areas of the study: prehospital, hospital-based, and pediatric emergency and trauma carem, as well as provide an integrated overview of the emergency care system in the US.
