JCAHO releases more standards questionnaires
Accreditation Connection, September 4, 2006
The JCAHO seeks field comment about its standards chapters in seven questionnaires it has posted to it Web site.
The accreditor released in July questionnaires about three of standards chapters: information management (IM), human resources (HR), and performance improvement (PI).
Last week it added additional questionnaires on other standards chapters: ethics, rights, and responsibilities (RI), medication management (MM), environment of care (EC), and infection control (IC).
Click here for information about the questionnaires, and then click here to access all of the standard chapter questionnaires for hospitals. Separate questions are posted for the ambulatory, critical-access hospital, home care, and office-based surgery programs.
The deadline for IM, HR, and PI is September 25; the deadline for RI, MM, EC, and IC is October 23.
JCAHO will post questionnaires in 2008 for review and comment for the behavioral, long-term care, and laboratory programs, according to its Web site.
