Hospital standards manual update hits mailboxes

The JCAHO's second of two planned updates to its standards manuals for 2006 were hitting mailboxes last week.
The updates reflect some changes that surveyors will expect to see implemented immediately, others by January 1, 2007, so don't let the update get buried on your desk!
Some of the items included in the update are the revised chapters for the National Patient Safety Goals, human resources standards, and medical staff standards.
