JCAHO extends eSOC compliance date

The JCAHO is giving organizations six additional months to move from paper-based management of Statement of ConditionsT (SOC) to submitting an electronic SOC (eSOCT) using the JaycoT extranet site.
SOC Part 2 (basic building information [BBI]) and Part 4 (plan for improvement) were to be submitted electronically beginning January 1, but the JCAHO last week extended the date of compliance to July 1.
The additional time is needed, according to the JCAHO, to work out interface problems and to address security concerns if multiple users have access to Jayco.
In the meantime, the JCAHO says it requires the following:
