TV series examines healthcare quality

The quality of healthcare is explored in a four-part PBS series that began October 5 called Remaking American Medicine: Health Care for the 21st Century.

The second of four one-hour programs airs Thursday and the third and fourth programs will air on October 19 and 26, respectively.

Each program examines critical healthcare issues including patient safety, medical and medication errors, hospital-acquired infections, family-centered care and effective management of chronic disease.
