Standard A in Chapter 4: Quality of Care Provided of the AAAHC Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care states that an organization should have documented evidence that all healthcare professionals delivering or participating in the delivery of healthcare services are appropriately trained and possess the education and skills necessary to perform the services provided. The organization should have all the necessary supporting documentation for each healthcare professional in their individual credentials file. The organization should also have credentialing and recredentialing polices that it follows to achieve the intent of the standard.
