JCAHO seeks comment on measures for staffing certification
Accreditation Connection, July 25, 2005
The JCAHO is seeking comment on an initial set of four performance measures to be used in its healthcare staffing services (HCSS) certification program.
The comment period opened July 20 via a survey on the JCAHO's Web site and will close August 19. The survey contains questions for each measure, and each takes about three to six minutes to complete.
The measures were recommended by the HCSS certification task force, which is made up of industry recipients, providers, and other stakeholders.
Once the accreditor identifies a standardized performance measurement set for HCSS, all certified healthcare staffing firms will be required to begin using it.
