About 3,500 healthcare employees voted to strike against six Sutter Health Hospitals in the San Francisco Bay area, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers, Local 250 led a one-day walkout in December and the new strike could occur as early as July. The union wants Sutter "bargain in good faith over industry standards that are designed to protect patients," according to a union statement released this month.
