Hospital works its way up to conditional accreditation
Accreditation Connection, May 23, 2005
If Flagstaff Medical Center in Arizona improves eight areas cited by the JCAHO, its conditional accreditation status will be upgraded to full accreditation, according to The Arizona Republic.
On April 28, the JCAHO lifted the preliminary accreditation denial it gave the organization in February because improvements were noted in two of 10 areas the accreditor cited earlier this year.
Flagstaff still needs to work on such areas as reeducating medical staff on consultation procedures. The hospital has until July 7 to complete its tasks.
