Joint Commission announces new E-App launch, downtime
Accreditation Connection, November 18, 2011
The Joint Commission has announced that it will launch its newly enhanced electronic application for accreditation (E-App) on December 28, 2011. This applies to all accreditation programs except the laboratory accreditation and certification programs.
The Joint Commission has also announced that, in preparation for this transition, its existing E-App will be unavailable from Dec. 3 to Dec. 27, 2011. Any updates organizations must make to their current E-App must be submitted by Dec. 2.
Because of this downtime, The Joint Commission has extended the dates for any E-App between Dec. 2 to Jan. 31, 2012 to Feb. 1, 2012.
For more specifics on what this new E-App will mean for accredited facilities, visit The Joint Commission’s website.
