CDC checklist puts more focus on infection control in ­outpatient settings

The CDC has posted a 16-page checklist to use as acompanion to its infection prevention guide for ­out­patient settings. Infection Prevention Checklist for ­Outpatient Settings: Minimum Expectations for Safe Care ­became available two months after the guidance ­document and consists of two sections, used to assess policies and procedures for safe care, and personnel adherence through direct observation.
