Joint Commission lists top performers in annual quality report

The Joint Commission has released its Annual Report on Quality and Safety, and for the first time, this report features something new: a list of 405 hospitals and critical access hospitals considered by the accrediting organization to be top performers in using evidence-based care processes tied to patient outcomes.
These hospitals represent 14% of Joint Commission accredited hospitals and critical access hospitals that report core measures data. These organizations were identified by The Joint Commission for excellence in accountability measurement reporting in 2010.
