Joint Commission announces new president of JCR and JCI
Accreditation Connection, August 26, 2011
The Joint Commission has announced a new head of Joint Commission Resources (JCR) and Joint Commission International this week. Paula Wilson will act as president and chief executive officer and direct operations of both JCR and JCI.
Wilson has been acting, temporary president of both organizations since June of 2010. After an extensive review, the search committee determined that Wilson, who previously ran her own consulting business and taught at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, was the best candidate.
“Over the past year, Paula’s passion for this job and her commitment to the missions of JCR and JCI have been evident,” said Mark R. Chassin, MD, FACP, MPP, MPH, in an official statement. “Our staff and customers have greatly benefited from her exemplary leadership and guidance. I am delighted that she is now a permanent member of our enterprise leadership team.”
