Comment period for Advanced Certification in Heart Failure Measures open

The Joint Commission has announced that it is seeking comment on the proposed specifications for draft measures for its Advanced Certification in Heart Failure program. This draft measures will be in addition to four existing measures and used to enhance performance measurement requirements, according to an official statement.
These draft measures specifically look at transition of care from inpatient to outpatient settings, as well as other aspects of care that could be evaluated through performance measures.
