Joint Commission releases new animated Speak Up video
Accreditation Connection, May 6, 2011
The Joint Commission released this week the latest in a line of animated short videos as part of its ongoing Speak Up ™ program. This latest short targets methods for ensuring patients take their medications safely. The Joint Commission began the program to encourage patients to feel empowered to take part in their own healthcare and not be afraid to ask questions about their care.
The video offers basic but key reminders for taking medications–from checking the label before ingesting to asking for additional instructions if needed before using.
This and all previous videos are viewable on The Joint Commission’s Youtube page. Additional information on the Speak Up ™ program is available on The Joint Commission’s home page.
