Tracking clinical services
As consultants we still see citations to hospitals for failure to adequately monitor clinical contracted services provided to their patients. Do you know if you are doing a satisfactory job?
If you are not sure, a good place to start is to take look at your list of contracted providers and verify that it is current and inclusive. For some reason, access to an accurate, comprehensive list can be difficult for an organization to provide at a specific time. One of the reasons could be that the day-to-day oversight of the contacted providers might fall under different leaders in your organization.
