Joint Commission launches Targeted Solutions Tool

The Joint Commission has announced the launch of the Targeted Solutions Tool™ (TST), an interactive tool designed to streamline the process for solving healthcare’s most persistent quality and safety issues.
The TST looks at measurement processes, barriers to success, and methods for implementing solutions. The accrediting organization has partnered with eight of the top hospitals in the country to develop these solutions.
TST is a voluntary process not required for accreditation. Topics TST will look at include hand hygiene, handoff communication, surgical site infections, and wrong site surgery.
