Statement of Conditions

The Statement of Conditions (SOC) must be maintained by a competent individual who has written authorization to do so from hospital leadership.

The SOC consists of two parts: The Basic Building Information (BBI) and the Plan For Improvement (PFI). Once a life safety deficiency has been properly listed in the PFI, it cannot be scored against the organization during a Joint Commission survey.
