Joint Commission opens field review of modifications of MS.01.01.01

The Joint Commission Board of Commissioners has approved the distribution of the proposed modifications to MS.01.01.01 for field review after receiving negative feedback from hospitals and physicians about MS.01.01.01 and then allowing comment from the field, according to an announcement its official Web site.
The field review will be available, along with the opportunity for any parties to comment on the proposal until January 28. Until futher notice, the current standard will remain in effect and hospitals are expected to comply with Medical Staff standard MS.01.01.01 in the hospital accreditation manual.
