Organizations team up to address disruptive behavior

The American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) and the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) have combined efforts to create a series of efforts intended to improve physician/nurse relationships and cut down on disruptive professional behavior.
This collaboration is timely—The Joint Commission updated its Leadership standards in January to include requirements that organizations address disruptive and inappropriate behavior in the healthcare setting. The policies and tools built by the ACPE and AONE are meant to foster collaborative relationships between professionals and ensure patient care takes top priority.
