Applications and nominations for the 2009 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards are now being accepted, The Joint Commission has announced.
Established in 2002 by the National Quality Forum (NQF) and The Joint Commission, the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards go to those who demonstrate the same dedication and principles that Eisenberg showed towards advancing the awareness, quality, and the public's knowledge of healthcare and patient safety.
All nominations are due to the Joint Commission by April 20, 2009, where an awards panel made up of patient safety and healthcare quality experts from the Joint Commission and NQF will determine the winners.
