HHS assesses state flu plans

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released a report examining progress made on the state level to prepare for an influenza pandemic.
While significant progress has been made, the report also states that there remain gaps in key areas of pandemic outbreak planning, specifically in such areas as protecting state workers in order to maintain state operations during an outbreak.
