Nearly half of adults will not get flu shot this year

Just 52% of American adults plan to get the flu vaccine this year, citing poor excuses, according to a report by Consumer Reports Health.

Five percent of adults surveyed said they would rather get sick than go to work, while 45% said they “don’t get sick,” know someone who has become sick from the vaccine (41%), and were worried about the side effects (35%).
