Joint Commission to issue monograph on immunization of healthcare workers

The Joint Commission plans to release a new monograph discussing methods, strategies and tools to improve immunization rates for healthcare worker influenza.
The monograph, expected to be published in 2009, will cover such topic areas as barriers for successful influenza immunization programs, best practices and effective strategies for implementing a program, and details about the impact of influenza in the healthcare workplace.
