Kaiser poll: Americans not using quality information
Accreditation Connection, October 24, 2008
According to a recent poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation, despite publicly available information on the quality of healthcare plans, physicians, and hospitals, only 30% of Americans are using this information to make decisions about their health.
Only three in 10 Americans had ever seen healthcare quality comparisons, down from 36% in 2005, according to the poll.
