Joint Commission addresses pain management with new program

The Joint Commission has launched a national campaign to assist patients to improve pain management by working with their physicians and other healthcare professionals.
The educational campaign is a part of the organization’s “Speak Up” program and is intended to coincide with Pain Awareness Month, which takes place this month, and involves distributing information on frequently asked questions and answers about pain management and treatment.
